Since 1998, Ad Ventures has promoted a class reunion every five years – pro bono. Our objective has been to create a lot of hype to sell advance tickets to the event. What we did different for this event was introduce an innovative “Waldo” contest to motivate people to look for lost classmates, and create Facebook ads that played on themes like “Saturday Night Live” and “Rainier Beer” that classmates grew up with. It worked. Attendance was increased three-fold compared to the last reunion.

A creative contest introduced a new way to involve more classmates to help locate lost classmates. Find a classmate. Find Waldo.
Results were advertised monthly on the class Facebook page to energize the group to keep on looking.
